  3. A Bachelor’s degree (minimum) and two years of professional experience.
  4. Cross-cultural training and/or experience.

  6. Two-year contract (minimum); four-year contract preferred.

Worker Opportunities

Guinea Africa Staff Nurse

CAMA has an opening for a single or couple at Hope Medical Center in Guinea. This is a partially self-funded position meaning that the individual appointed would raise a portion of their own support. The minimum requirements for this position:

• A nursing degree (Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred).
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Desire to teach nursing students.
• Proven ability to disciple, mentor, and counsel new believers.
• A clear and compelling call to cross-cultural worker service.
• If married, a clear and compelling call on the part of the spouse to cross-cultural ministry in areas of giftedness.
• A positive team player.

English as Second Language (ESL) instructor

CAMA has an opening for a fully self-funded (meaning that the individual appointed would raise all of their own support) ESL instructor to teach at CAMA’s Candlelight School in Southeast Asia. The minimum requirements for these positions:

• Bachelors degree
• ESL teaching endorsement or TESOL Certification (or equivalent—TOEFL, CELTA). These certifications can be attained by completing a four to six week training course.
• Teaching experience is helpful, but not required. Come with a willingness to be trained, observed, and critiqued to help you become a successful English teacher.
• A two-year commitment to serve at the school.
• Willingness to learn the language and culture (if possible for three months intensively early on).
• Commitment to relevantly and actively share your faith.
• Cross-cultural experience.

Teacher for International Workers’ Kids

CAMA has an opening in Ségou, Mali, Africa for a single or couple with teaching certification at the elementary level and at least two years of teaching experience. This would be a fully self-funded position to start in the summer of 2012, though the sending agency may be able to help with some funds. Responsibilities:

• Make a healthy and positive adjustment to local culture.
• Take a foundational Bambara language course.
• Responsible for teaching four students ranging from pre-school to sixth grade.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
