Pacific Rim Typhoon Relief
Priority Project – 4-47400-46
Philippines and Vietnam, Pacific Rim
In September 2009, Typhoon Ketsana affected about 1.4 million people and damaged or submerged more than 350,000 houses. CAMA responded to the devastating flooding in Manilla with a $5,000 donation to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines (CAMACOP).
Your generous contribution has enabled us to help rebuild 25 houses for the victims of Typhoon Mirinae that hit Central Vietnam last November. Total of $20,000 was raised (half of which came from the Vietnamese District of the C&MA). Most of the houses were completed in time for the Tet, or Chinese New Year, celebration. A typical house is shown below and costs just over $2,000.

Join us in linking the Word and deed by allowing CAMA to be your hands to a hurting world. Together, we can continue to help support our brothers and sisters whose lives have been disrupted by storm and flood.
