CAMA Services works with a the relief and development arm of BREAD in Congo, to provide micro enterprise training and loans to the poor.

After training, an initial loan of $80 is provided, which if paid back on schedule, qualifies the recipient for a second in a series of three loans ($80, $100 and $120) over a three-year period. These loans fund small businesses such as a tailor or furniture shop or market gardens.

This approach provides needed assistance without creating dependency. All people are eligible for the program that serves as a means of outreach into a community.

We are seeking to expand this program at the rate of six loans every six months.
