Central Asia

This Central Asian country has one of the highest rates of kidney related diseases in the region. Dialysis treatment here is very limited. The wealthy seek treatment in neighboring countries while the poor die for lack of care. To address this need, CAMA staff is working with others to start a for-profit clinic in which fees collected from the rich will subsidize treatment for the poor. This clinic will also offer training to local doctors in nephrology.

Our goal is to provide a clinic with 7-10 dialyzers at the cost of $15,000.
